iblurbed is a full service publishing helpline for those seeking the indie or traditional publishing path.

Let me guess. You've written a kick-ass story with a great beginning, a middle that blows the mind and a satisfying ending or cliffhanger for the next book? You've entered some contests but the feedback was minimal? You've been querying publishers or agents and you're getting crickets in return? Or, you're all set to indie publish but you need a blurb to sell this kick-ass book?

You're in the right place!

Blurbs that sell books.
Covers attract readers and genre defines who will buy your book but if first impressions are anything to go by, it’s your blurb that will make readers hand over their cash because they think they’re going to love the ride you’re about to give them. They’ll click the links, they’ll stand in bookstore aisles, but only long enough to get hooked in with the promise that is your back matter.
Whether you’re looking for a blurb to add to a proposal or query, you’re indie publishing and you just don’t have the time or the skill, or you’ve convinced someone you can when really, you can’t, you’re in the right place. I can help!
Each book is wildly different which means each blurb needs to also differ. It needs to be exciting and drop just enough of the crucial stuff to ensure the reader will find something to satisfy them between the pages. I’m going to help you do just that.
Blurb written from a synopsis only - $50 for one or $100 for three. This includes up to three rounds of revisions but we shouldn't need that many. You’ll also have to send a chapter or two so I can get a feel for your voice.
Blurbs written from a full story read - $100 up to 50,000 words. $150 up to 80,000 words and $200 for up to 120,000 words. I can also include comments in the body of the story if you require but this is not an edit. This is just another set of eyes as I read.
Each blurb includes up to three rounds of edits.

Query letters to make you shine.
Exciting times are ahead! You’ve received a pitch request or you’ve done all of your research, honed your craft and polished that fifth draft so it’s all shiny and beautiful and now you want to begin querying agents and/or editors but it’s been fifteen years since you wrote your last resume and it sucked! Take a deep breath and let me show you how it’s done. I’ll send you an example query letter, you fill in some of the blanks and then we’ll work together to make you and your project shine on paper.
One query letter with up to three rounds of revisions - $99 (you have to write your own story matter/concept/hook/blurb but I’ll help you pare it back and make it shine.)

Synopsis.
Synopsis doesn’t have to roll off the tongue like a swear word. You don’t have to fear it or hate it either. Some of us are weird in a way that means we love to write the dreaded synopsis and we’re actually good at it! Be it one page or three, it is possible to sum up your book in it's entirety including all the pertinent changing points and character arcs from beginning to end.
Up to 50,000 words - $200. Up to 80,000 words - $260. Up to 120,000 words - $320. Or $50 per hour if you already wrote the synopsis but it needs playing with.

Contest style feedback.
Contests are one of the best ways to land your book in front of someone who might actually one day represent or publish your book but they’re a crap shoot and you know it. You will almost definitely get a judge who hates the sub-genre or that you called your main character Steve, these are outside of your control. Maybe all three judges have told you that your book started in the wrong place but you can’t figure out where the right place is. I’ll help you polish that chapter or those first three chapters until they shine without risking your voice in the process. The advice will be helpful with comments in the body of the text rather than vague one-liners that don’t help you or your story.
One chapter polish fit for a contest or submission - $50 (up to 3000 words)
Three chapter polish fit for a contest or submission - $150 (up to ten thousand words)
